2025 Kids Graphic Tee Contest

Does your child want to see their artwork on a Primary tee? Here’s their chance! Team Primary is inviting kids aged 5-12 to create and submit an original piece of art that showcases their favorite thing in their favorite color(s). Up to 10 winners will be chosen to have their designs featured on tees in our Holiday 2025 collection.

1. Have your child draw, color, paint, or collage a picture of their favorite thing in their favorite color(s) on a blank, 8.5x11-inch sheet of paper. Important: keep your artwork! If your child wins, you’ll need to mail it to us. 

2. Complete our submission form, including a photo or scanned copy of your child's art, along with their name, age, title and short description of their artwork.

When does the contest begin and end?
The contest begins on May 19, 2025 at 12:00 AM ET and ends on Monday June 30, 2025 at 4:00 PM ET. All submissions must be received by this time. 

Who can enter the contest?
The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are between 5 and 12 years of age at the time of entry.

How do kids enter the contest?
With their parent or legal guardian, kids can upload a photo or scanned copy of their artwork to our submission form, linked here.

Note that kids must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate. As part of the submission process, a parent or legal guardian is required to review and accept the Official Rules and Release and Consent when submitting an entry on their child's behalf.

Can kids enter more than once?
No, only one entry per child is permitted. If multiple submissions are received from the same child, only the first submission will be considered.

Why does my child need to keep their artwork?
If your child is selected as a winner, they will be required to mail their original artwork to us. We will provide a prepaid expedited shipping label for winners to send us their art.

Are there any requirements my child should be aware of when creating their artwork?
Kids between the ages of 5-12 must create an original piece of two-dimensional artwork on a blank 8.5x11-inch sheet of paper. With their parent or legal guardian, the child will need to take a photo or scan their artwork and upload it to the submission form, along with their name, age, title, and short description of their artwork. Per the contest rules, entries that are fraudulent, forged, or generated by a macro, bot, script or other automated means will not be accepted.

How will the submissions be judged?
Our team will select up to 10 winners, with at least one winner chosen from each of the following age groups: (1) Ages 5-8 and (2) Ages 9-12

Entries will be judged by our team based on the following criteria:

• Does the artwork display authenticity and enthusiasm for the artist’s favorite thing?

• Is the artist’s favorite thing clearly depicted?

• Is the use of color in the artwork compelling and emotional?

• Will the artwork reproduce well on a white t-shirt and in related photography?

When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be notified via email on July 2, 2025. 

What is the prize?
Winners will have their artwork featured on a t-shirt in Primary's Holiday 2025 collection. Winners will also receive a $200 digital gift card to shop at primary.com. 

Do I have to pay to enter the contest?
No, a purchase is not necessary to enter or win. The contest is free to enter.
