Primary Color Camp: The Easiest 1-Ingredient Banana Ice Cream
An easy, sweet treat that's ready in no time.
The classic healthier swap for traditional ice cream is a no-brainer for our yellow week of Color Camp. With just one ingredient and one step, you get the perfect sweet treat – and that's without leaving the house, standing in line, or entering into the dreaded race against the rivers of melting ice cream on ice cream cones.
All you need is a few bananas, a blender or food processor, and whatever mix-ins or toppings you like. We like peanut butter or Nutella, but follow the yellow brick road in your heart to your favorite flavor combos.

To make banana ice cream: Peel the bananas, cut them in 2- to 3-inch chunks and place them in a bag in the freezer for at least 6 hours.
Once bananas are frozen solid, remove and blend in a blender until smooth. Serve immediately, or freeze in an airtight container for at least 2 hours. Scoop and serve.
If you like soft-serve consistency, eat it right away. For more classic hard ice cream scoops, freeze it in an airtight container, and dole out as you would any pint of ice cream.
For an added bonus, shop kids, baby and grown up styles in all the different shades of yellow. Like we've said before, if a stain matches your shirt, is it really there?
