5 Easy DIY Gifts for Father's Day

Father's Day is around the corner, and as much as we love to shop for the perfect present, nothing says "I love you," "I appreciate you," and "Thanks for always taking spiders outside instead of killing them!" like a homemade gift. Check out these 5 last-minute DIY craft ideas that dads and father figures will love.
1. Personalized Picture Frames
For this heartfelt DIY, you'll only need an old picture frame, some glue, maybe some Scrabble tiles and whatever else kids want to use as decoration. Repurpose a neglected frame and glue on buttons, ribbon, letters or anything else! We love the way this example is personalized for Father's Day. Finish by popping in a beloved photo.
2. Oven-Bake Pinch Bowl
This homemade present will require some grown-up supervision, but is well worth it! Buy oven-bake clay from any craft store and mold into a tiny bowl to hold keys, rings, or any tiny treasures that need a place to land.
Kids can shape the clay into whatever shape bowl their heart desires, and grown-ups can follow the package instructions once they're done to bake solid! Once completely cooled, kids can use acrylic-based paint to decorate their creations, to make this functional gift extra-special.
3. Thumbprint Magnets
Rainbow thumbprint magnets make a cute addition to the fridge, and a sweet time capsule for little toddler hands. These magnets come together with any color paper, clear gems, different colors of ink, a hot glue gun, some magnets, and Mod Podge. Once you've gathered the supplies, here's how to make them:
- Take one of the clear gems, and trace the circumference on the paper, as many times as you can fit, as a border for the thumbprints.
- Have kids press their thumbs into the ink pads, and make two thumbprints on a piece of paper at an angle, so the tips of both fingerprints overlap to make a heart. The more shades of ink, the more fun!
- Cut out around each traced circle so the thumbprint hearts are all separate, tiny circles.
- One by one, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge over each thumbprint paper circle with any brush, and adhere to the flat side of the clear gem. The thumbprint should stick directly to the glass bead so you can see it from the other side.
- After Mod Podge is dry, use a hot glue gun to attach magnets to the back of the glass beads.
- Once the glue is dry, arrange the magnets in a display on the fridge to surprise Dad!
4. Coloring Sheets

5. Family Footprint Art
