Supergirl & Krypto the dog

Materials: 

• One baby dress in red

• One baby top in blue

• One set of baby tights in red

• Red felt

• Yellow felt

• Fabric tape

• Safety pin

Tools: 

• Hot glue gun and sticks

• Scissors

• Water soluble fabric marker

Instructions:

For Supergirl’s cape:

• Cut a rectangle of red felt for the cape. 

• Make 3 pleats on either side of the top edge of the cape and glue them together. 

• Cut a half circle from the center top edge of the cape for the back neckline. 

• Attach the cape to the shoulders just under the pleats with fabric tape.

For Supergirl’s emblem: 

• Use a fabric marker to draw Supergirl’s S emblem onto yellow and red felt. 

• Cut and glue the emblem together. 

• Attach the emblem to the chest with fabric tape. 

For Supergirl’s belt: 

• Cut a slight V shaped belt from yellow felt. 

• Secure the belt around the waist with a safety pin in the back. 

For Krypto’s collar & cape: 

• Cut a strip of yellow felt for Krypto’s collar. 

• Cut and glue the outline of Supergirl’s S emblem to the center of the collar. 

• Glue a rectangle of red felt for the cape to the back of the collar. 

• Secure the collar around the dog’s neck with a safety pin.
