My baby is my sunshine! How do I make a sunflower costume?
- One green baby outfit
- Yellow ribbon
- Yellow felt or silk sunflower (1-2 flowers or felt sheets 9x12 inches each)
- Hot glue gun and sticks
- Cut ribbon for the face: Cut two yellow ribbons that fit around the face with extra length for tying in a bow under the chin. Cut the petals off silk sunflowers or cut sunflower petals from yellow felt. Hot glue the petals along the ribbon until the petals reach all around the face.
- Make a ribbon of petals: Make a second matching ribbon of petals. Glue a strip of ribbon over the petal ends, so the petals are sandwiched in between ribbon on both sides.
- Line petal ribbons up back to back: Line the petal ribbons up back to back so the petals stand up against each other. Glue together this way with a strip of ribbon connecting them on the underside and add a bead of glue along the base of the ribbon petals and glue together for extra hold. Wrap around the head and tie in a bow at under the chin.
