Materials:
- One kids outfit in black
- Black poster board, 2 sheets
- Cellophane in rainbow colors
- Black elastic band
- Headband
- Black pipe cleaners
- Double sided tape

All purpose white glue
Tools:
- Hot glue gun & sticks
- Scissors
- Craft knife & cutting mat
- Pencil
Instructions

Create the antennas: Twist three pipe cleaners together for each antenna for strength.

Roll one end of the antennas: Roll one end of each antenna into a spiraled circle.

Wrap the other end to the headband: Wrap the other ends around a headband and hot glue in place.

Outline the wings on black poster board: Draw the outline of butterfly wings onto a sheet of black poster board. Draw the inner wing shapes as well.

Cutout the wing outlines: Use scissors to cut the outline of the wings, and use a craft knife and cutting mat to cut the inner shapes out. Use these cutout wings to trace onto another sheet of poster board and cut them out.

Cut cellophane panels: Use the cut pieces of the inner wing shapes to trace and cut the cellophane panels. Leave ¼”-½” extra around the perimeter of each piece and use double sided tape to attach the rainbow cellophane to the wings.

Glue wings to cellophane panels: Use and all purpose, or white glue to attach the second set of cutout wings over the cellophane panels to sandwich them in the middle.

Glue elastic straps to wings: Hot glue black elastic straps to the center of the wings to hold them over the shoulders.
