Instructions
Rainbow Brite
For the dress
- Cut a boxy “U” shape from red felt for the top half of the dress. Cut and glue red felt straps to the sides and top. Cut a rainbow from orange, yellow and green felt and hot glue to the front of the red felt piece. Cut and glue a yellow star to the end of the rainbow. Attach to the dress with double sided fabric tape.
For the hair bow
- Tie a big bow over a ponytail with purple ribbon.
Twink
For the head
- Cut 4 yellow stars (about 3.5”) from the felt. Glue together with pipe cleaners sandwiched in between.
- If using an old sheep costume, remove animal ears & replace with the star antennas using hot glue. If using sherpa fabric, make a hat by cutting two upside down “U” shaped pieces that are about an inch longer than half the circumference of the child’s head.
- Hot glue the hat pieces together along the curved edge and glue the antennas to the hat.
For the body
- If not repurposing a sheep costume, cut two panels from sherpa fabric for the front and back of the body.
- Use a long sleeve babysuit to trace the shape of the body onto the fabric if needed, and cut a couple inches larger than the clothing so it’s easy to get into. Hot glue the shoulder and side seams, leaving openings for the head and arms.
For the belt
- Cut a 2” wide strip of turquoise blue felt for the belt and glue strips of felt together to get the length needed.
- Cut a buckle from red felt, a star from purple felt, and a rectangle from orange felt and glue to the belt.
- Attach around the waist with safety pins.
