Materials:

One pair of kids sunglasses
-
Cardstock paper
-
Markers in blue, purple, and yellow
-
Black poster board, 2 sheets

Bubble wrap
-
Metallic paint in blues and purples
-
Elastic band
-
Purple paper cups
-
Brass fasteners
-
Fabric tape
Tools:

Spray adhesive
Instructions:
For the mask:

Cut a dragon mask: from cardstock paper and cut out the openings for the eyes.

Color the mask: with markers.

Glue the mask: to the front of a pair of sunglasses.
For the wings:

Cut two matching sets: of dragon wings from black poster board, with a hobby knife and cutting mat.

Both sides of the wings should fit onto one sheet of poster board.

Paint bubble wrap: to create a textured scale-like texture for the wings, using a paintbrush and metallic blue and purple paint.

Follow the instructions: on the can of spray adhesive to glue the painted bubble wrap in between the cutout wing pieces.

Glue two loops: of elastic bands to the center of the wings to hold them over each shoulder.
For the belly:

Paint bubble wrap: to create a textured scale-like texture for the dragon belly, using a paintbrush and metallic blue and purple paint.

Cut the bubble wrap: into an oval shape and attach it to the front of the top with fabric tape.
For the tail:

Attach one cup: to the inside of another, and attach brass fasteners near the bottom of the first cup, and near the top of the second cup.

There should be two fasteners on either side of the cups.

Continue attaching cups together until you have a tail length that you like.

Cut out a point: for the tail from cardstock and use a marker to color it blue.

Glue this piece: onto the end of the tail.

Glue an elastic band: to the top end of the tail to hold it around the child’s waist.
