Materials
- One white kids top
- One red kids bottom
- Ivory felt
- White felt
- Green felt
- Orange felt
- Light brown felt
- Dark brown felt
- Red felt
- Yellow felt
- White ribbon
- Stuffing
- Black marker
Tools:
- Hot glue gun & sticks
- Scissors
- White fabric chalk
Instructions:
- Cut the fabric for the tortilla wrap: Cut two right triangles for the front of the tortilla wrap, and two rectangles for the back of the wrap, using ivory felt.Â
- Glue the front fabric pieces together:Â Hot glue the triangles together so that it creates a V shape opening for the chicken, lettuce & cheese to show though.Â
- Attach the back fabric pieces: Glue the back rectangle pieces to the sides of each triangle piece, leaving an opening for the arms to fit through.
- Create the lettuce and cheese pieces: Cut green felt lettuce, and orange and white felt shredded cheese.
- Create the chicken patty pieces: Cut two matching fried chicken patty pieces from light brown felt and lightly stuff it as you glue them together. Use a black marker to make a few small black dots on the chicken patty.
- Glue the lettuce and cheese to the tortilla: Hot glue the lettuce and shredded cheese to inside edge of tortilla.Â
- Glue the chicken patty to the tortilla: Glue the chicken patty behind the lettuce and cheese in V shaped opening.
- Cut a rectangle to wrap around the body: Cut a large rectangle from white felt that wraps around the child’s body.Â
- Glue the rectangle to the tortilla: Hot glue the top edge over the bottom edge of the tortilla piece.
- Create the letters: Draw letters that spell “snack wrap” from dark brown felt using white fabric chalk, and cut them out.
- Create the logo: Cut out the McDonald’s logo from red and yellow felt.
- Glue on the letters and logo: Glue these pieces onto the white “wrapper”.
- Glue on ribbon ties for security: Glue ribbon ties to the back of the costume to secure it in place.
