Materials

  • One red kids outfit
  • Red craft foam
  • Black craft foam
  • Black felt
  • Elastic band
  • Double sided fabric tape
  • Headband
  • Black pipe cleaners

Tools

  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun

Instructions

  • Make an antenna headband:
    • Create antennas: Twist 3 black pipe cleaners together for each antenna. 

    • Attach antennas to headband: Roll one end of each into a spiral circle and twist the other end tightly to the headband. 

    • Cut black dots: Cut black felt dots and attach them to the clothing with double sided fabric tape. 

 

  • Create the wings: 
    • Cut wings: Cut two D shaped wings from red craft foam

    • Glue wings together: Glue a strip of black craft foam in between the two D shaped wings to hold them together. 

 

    • Add dots: Cut and glue black dots to the wings.

 

    • Attach elastic band straps: Attach elastic band straps to the back of the wings with hot glue.
