Make the armor

Cut two matching rectangles that cover the child’s chest and belly, and two matching shoulder pieces from poster board.
-
Cover these cut pieces with silver duct tape. The tape can be placed diagonally and criss crossed to create a repeating diamond pattern on the chest and back pieces.

Glue the shoulder pieces connecting the front and back torso pieces. Glue gray felt straps connecting the sides of the armor together. Glue velcro to the straps and armor to open the sides easily.
Create the shield

Cut the shield from cardboard.

Glue silver cardstock paper to the front of the shield with criss crossing gold ribbon on top.

Trace and cut a unicorn silhouette from the internet onto red felt. Attach the unicorn to the center of the shield.

Cut two matching unicorn heads from cardboard and glue them together, leaving the bottom edge open.
-
Cover the head with white felt, and a bit of pink felt for the inner ear.
-
Use a gold foam sheet for the horn, black felt for the eye and nostrils, and gold ribbon for the straps.
-
Fringe cut light gray felt for the mane and glue in place.
-
Insert a wooden dowel in the bottom head opening, and you’re set!
