Astronaut

Materials:

• One orange kids hoodie
• One orange kids bottom
• Red felt
• Blue felt 
• White felt 
• Yellow felt
• Black felt
• White felt, 3mm thick
• Fabric tape
• Safety pin

Tools:

• Hot glue gun & sticks
• Scissors

Instructions:

For the helmet:

• Cut two matching circles from a thick, stiff white felt. Cut a straight edge along the bottom of both circles. 
• Cut a rounded square for the face opening from one felt panel. 
• Cut and glue a wide strip of thick white felt connecting the semi-circles along the curved edges. 
• Using blue and white felt, cut and glue a stack of three circles in different sizes to each side of the helmet.
• Glue a thin strip of blue felt trim along the bottom edge of the helmet.
  

For the patches:

• Use small bits of red, white, blue, yellow, and black felt to create patches for the space suit. 
• Hot glue the patches together and attach them to the clothing with fabric tape. 

For the straps:

• Cut a 1 inch wide belt from black felt. Cut and glue two 1 inch wide black felt suspender-like straps to the belt.
