For If You Give a Mouse a Cookie:
- Create the ears:
- Cut a long skinny strip of gray felt and hot glue to the headband.
- Cut two layers each of round shaped ears from gray felt, and two smaller pink felt inner ear pieces. Hot glue the ear pieces together.
- Pinch the bottom of each ear and hot glue it in place. This gives the ear more shape.
- Hot glue the ears to the headband.
- Create the tail:
- Cut two matching long skinny triangles for the tail from pink felt.
- Twist about 3 pipe cleaners together for strength, and hot glue it sandwiched between the two felt tail layers.
- Safety pin to the back of the joggers.
- Create the nose:
- Cut a basic cone shape out of gray felt that looks like a triangle with a rounded bottom.
- Roll the shape into a cone and hot glue the straight edges together.
- Hot glue a pink pom pom to the point of the cone for the nose.
- Fold 2 pipe cleaners in half.
- Hot glue the folded end of each pipe cleaner on either side of the nose.
- Cut a length of elastic and hot glue the cuts ends to either side of the inside of the nose cone.
- Create the cookie:
- Cut chocolate chip shaped pieces from brown felt.
- Attach them to the ottoman circle using double sided fabric tape.
For a Glass of Milk:
- Create the milk glass:
- Cut a long rectangle from clear vinyl that wraps around the bamboo floral hoop and overlaps 2-3 inches and is about 6-8 inches from the hoop down.
- Cut a long rectangle from white felt that wraps around the bamboo floral hoop and overlaps 2-3 inches and is the length from the bottom of the vinyl to the child’s shins.
- Use the white tape to tape the vinyl to the floral hoop.
- Hot glue the white felt around the bottom of the vinyl section.
- Use safety pins to secure the back closed when wearing the costume.
- Glue a double layer of sturdy felt straps to the bamboo hoop so that the costume sits on the shoulders.
