Instructions
For Hershey's Kiss:
- Create the headpiece if making the hat:
- Cut a sheet of silver paper into a wide triangle shape with a curve along the bottom edge.
- Roll the paper into a cone shape and hot glue it together.
- Glue an elastic band to the bottom sides of the hat to hold it onto the head.
- Create the tag:
- Cut a strip of white paper with two points at one end.
- Use a blue marker to write “HARVEY” or “KISSES” onto the paper.
- Glue the straight edge of the tag to the top of the hat.
- Stuff the jacket:
- Cut and glue an elastic band that fits comfortably around the child’s waist.
- Tuck the bottom edge of the jacket into the elastic band.
- Unzip the jacket halfway and stuff tissue paper or tulle fabric inside to puff out the costume around the bottom.
- Zip the jacket back up and tuck any extra sleeve length toward the inside of the sleeves.
For Baked Potato:
- Create the butter headpiece:
- Cut two squares from yellow felt.
- Glue the squares together and stuff it before sealing it up.
- Glue the butter to a headband.
- Create the baked potato toppings:
- Cut a long glob of white felt for sour cream that fits over the belly.
- Glue bits of yellow shredded cheese, specks of green chives, and bits of red bacon and any other favorite toppings onto the sour cream.
- Attach this panel of toppings onto the front of the hoodie with fabric tape.
- Finishing:
- Wear the silver puffer over the cocoa hoodie open or partially zipped.
For Burrito:
- Create the tortilla wrapper:
- Cut a large panel of white felt that wraps around the child’s torso and overlaps in front of the body.
- Cut out openings for the arms on the sides.
- Create the fillings:
- Glue wavy green felt for lettuce along the top edge of the tortilla.
- Cut and glue felt black beans, yellow shredded cheese, red diced tomatoes, or any other favorite fillings to the lettuce.
- Assembly:
- Safety pin the burrito together wrapped around the body.
- The silver jacket will be the foil wrapped around the burrito. Wear it backwards and zipped up around the waist like a skirt. Tuck the hood towards the inside. Use the sleeves to tie it around the waist in the back and tuck the sleeves into the jacket.
