Coraline

Materials:

• One kids top in rainbow
• One pair of jeans
• One kids jacket in yellow
• Brown felt
• Pink felt
• Teal felt
• Yellow felt
• Blue felt
• Blue yarn
• Blue beanie
• Hair clip

Tools:

• Hot glue gun and sticks
• Scissors
• Double sided fabric tape

Instructions:

For the dragonfly hair clip: 

• Cut two dragonfly body shapes from the teal felt and cut two sets of wings from the pink felt.

• Hot glue the wings to the back of one of the body shapes and then sandwich the second body shape to the back of the wings using hot glue.

• Use a blue marker to outline the dragonfly body.

• Attach the dragonfly to a hair clip using hot glue.

For the wig: 

• Use a blue beanie as a base for the yarn wig.

• Cut a blue strip of felt for the side part hairline, and cut long strips of blue yarn that’s long enough to fall on both sides of the head.

• Hot glue the yarn centered and perpendicular to hairline felt strip.

• Layer and glue more strips of yarn over the hairline to create more volume.

• Braid long pieces of blue yarn together and secure the ends with hot glue.

• Glue the yarn braid down the sidepart hairline to cover the glue underneath.

• Safety pin or hot glue the yarn hair at the midline to the beanie.

• Secure the longer side of the hair using the dragonfly hairclip.

For the messenger bag:

• Cut a long rectangle from brown felt and fold in thirds, hamburger style. Glue the side seams together and leave the top open with the top third as the flap. 

• Cut the flap to be rounded.

• Cut a buckle from yellow felt and hot glue it to the flap.

• Glue a felt strap to the sides of the bag and wear it across the body.

• You can use the bag to collect candy!
