Materials

• One blue kids outfit
• Black foam board
• Blue felt
• Black marker
• Headband
• Black pipe cleaners

Tools

• Scissors
• Hot glue gun
• Xacto knife
• Pencil

Instructions

• Create an antenna headband:

• Create antennas: Twist 3 black pipe cleaners together for each antenna. 

• Attach antennas to the headband: Roll one end of each into a spiral circle and twist the other end tightly to the headband. 

• Create the wings:
• Draw the wings: Draw the wing shapes onto the foamboard.

• Cut out wings: Use the xacto knife to cut out the wings. 

• Trace and cut out blue felt pieces: Use the inner wing cutouts to trace and cut the blue felt pieces.

• Glue felt pieces: Glue the blue felt pieces to the wings

• Draw veins on wings: Use a black marker to draw veins onto the wings. 

• Cut holes for elastic: Use an xacto knife to cut 4 holes for the elastic band straps. Knot the elastic in the back.
