Bluey and Bingo
When you are done relaxing in your relaxing chair, it’s time to get ready for Halloween!
Products you’ll need (1)
Materials
Bluey:
- One blue kids dress
Bingo:
- One orange kids dress
- Two Foam top hats
- Light blue, cobalt, tan, black, white, cream, orange felt
- Foam sheet
- Adhesive sheets
- Stuffing
- Hot glue
- Scissors
Instructions
- Trim the brim of the foam top hats leaving one triangle section for the nose. Using a foam sheet, cut a semi circle piece of foam for the snout of the nose. Attach to the top hat with hot glue, bringing the remaining brim piece up to form a dog snout shape.
- You can make your own foam hat like the one we made for our Oatly costume and just make it taller.
- Cover the top hats with felt (cobalt for Bluey, Orange for Bingo) using hot glue: glue a panel of felt around the vertical, smooth area of the hat. To cover the hat with felt with minimal creasing, instead of folding the excess fabric over on itself, cut a slit where you would want to fold, and overlap the felt to where it looks good. You can cut off any excess overlapped fabric, or leave it as is, and glue the overlapped section together. Add a strip of light blue felt for Bingo, and a strip of cream felt for Bingo from the top of the hat to the top of the nose.
- For the ears cut triangles from foam and cover with felt using hot glue and attach to the top of the hat.
- Cut large white ovals for the eyes and attach above the nose using hot glue.
- Cut nose shapes and small circles out of black felt and hot glue those to the hat.
- From the foam sheet, cut four eyebrow shapes. Cover these with felt using hot glue and attach above the eyes.
- For the tails, use two sheets of felt (Light blue for Bluey, orange for Bingo) as well as one sheet on the end folded over (cobalt for bluey, cream for Bingo). Hot glue or sew the seams, turn right side out and stuff with stuffing. Attach to the bottom of the back of the pants or dress using two safety pins.
- Cut a cream felt semi circle for Bingo and attach to the front of the dress using adhesive sheets. Repeat this for Bluey, using light blue felt. Add three cobalt felt circles to the back of the dress using adhesive sheets.
