Baby Rabbit

Materials

• One oat baby outfit
• Cream felt
• Light pink felt
• Pipe cleaners
• Pink and black make-up pencils

Tools

• Hot glue gun & sticks
• Scissors
• Pinback
• Fabric tape
• Safety pins 

Instructions

Create the ears

• Cut four matching long ovals from cream colored felt. 

• Glue pipe cleaners sandwiched between each set of felt ears to give each ear some structure, leaving about an inch of the bottom ear unglued. 

• Bend the front felt to stick out forward, and bend the back felt to stick out backward, creating a flat surface to make it easier to attach the ear to a hat. Glue a patch of felt to the bottom to hold the felt flat in place. 

• Cut and glue pink inner ear ovals to the front of each ear. 

• Attach the ears to a beanie or hood with fabric tape or safety pins. 

Create the belly

• Cut an oval from pink felt and attach it to the belly with fabric tape.

Create the tail

• Cut several thin strips of cream colored felt and use one of the strips to knot the bunch together in the center to create a pom pom tail. 

• Safety pin the tail to the back of the pants. 

Create the nose & whiskers

• Use a pink make-up pencil to draw a nose, and use a black make-up pencil to draw the whiskers onto the child’s face.
