Materials
- One gray kids outfit
- One STATE astronaut backpack
- Black felt
- White felt
- Red felt
- Blue felt
- Small bits of yellow, orange & green felt
- Black marker
Tools
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Double sided fabric tape
Instructions
Make the helmet face shield:
- Cut a large circle of black felt that fits over the hood.
- Glue two white felt “reflections” to two opposite corners.
- Glue felt circle “hinges” on either side of the face shield.
Create arm and leg bands:
- Cut strips of red, blue, and white felt and glue them together to make the arm and leg bands.
- Attach them around the arms and legs with double sided fabric tape.
Make the patches:
- Use bits of colorful felt to make fun patches for the space suit such as a name tag, planets, stars, etc.
- Attach the patches to the clothing with double sided fabric tape.
- Add the astronaut STATE backpack and you're ready to go!
