Materials:

• One teal kids outfit
• Rectangle cardboard box
• Black duct tape
• Tan felt
• Light blue cellophane
• Craft foam sheets in various colors
• Clear fishing wire or string
• Clear tape

Tools:

• Utility knife
• Scissors
• Hot glue gun & sticks

Instructions

Make the aquarium tank:

• Using a rectangle cardboard box that fits over the child’s torso, cut out openings on all four sides, leaving about 2 inches of a frame around each opening. 

• Cut out an opening on top of the box for the head, and cut an opening at the bottom for the body to fit through. 

• Cover the box in black duct tape, inside and out. 

Create the fish and aquarium decor:

• Cut out your favorite fish using various colors of craft foam.

• Make seaweed, coral, and any other aquarium decor you like from craft foam sheets. 

• Use clear fishing wire or string and clear tape to hang the fish suspended from the top of the box. 

• Glue tan felt to the bottom of the aquarium to create “sand”

• Hot glue the aquarium decor onto the sand.

Make the aquarium “glass”:

• Use clear tape to tape light blue cellophane to the front and back openings of the aquarium. Leave the sides open for the arms to go through.
