Instructions:
For James Minion:
For the eye goggle:
- Use a white plastic jar lid for the base of the eye.
- Cut and glue a thin circle and strip of light gray felt around the outer edge of the eye goggle.
- Use blue, black and white felt for the eye and glue it in the center of the goggle.
- Glue a black elastic band to each side of the google, so it fits comfortably around the child’s head with the beanie on.
For the movie camera:
- Cut and glue pieces of cardboard together to make a movie camera.
- Cut a circle the width of the empty paper towel tube from the bottom center of the camera. Glue the paper towel tube with half of it inside the box, and the other half sticking out, creating a handle to hold the camera.
-
Paint the whole camera black. Paint the silver details onto the camera.
For Goomi:
For the mask:
- Use a pencil to draw a large circle onto a sheet of cardboard for Goomi’s head.
- Draw circles for Goomi’s eyes, face tendrils, and mouth underneath the tendrils.
- Use a hobby knife to cut out the mask. Cut openings for the eyes and mouth.
- Glue the mask to green felt and cut the extra felt around the mask off.
- Bend the top of the face tendrils where the bridge of the wearer’s nose starts, outward to make room for the wearer’s nose.
- Glue an elastic band to the back of the mask to hold it around the head.
For the skirt:
- Cut a long panel of white felt that wraps around the body with a several extra inches to overlap the ends.
- Attach the top edge of the felt around the bottom edge of the white tee, and overlap the open end in the back of the tee.
