Primary Color Camp: Sink or Float Experiment
by Team Primary
- Gather household objects. Make sure that some will sink and some will float.
- Fill a container or bowl about half way with water.
- Place each object one at a time. Does it sink? Does it float?
- Record the outcome and compare to kids initial response. Talk about how kids formed their original opinion, and why they think the outcome was different.
As long as you have a bowl, some water, and curiously about some ordinary items, you've got a fun, educational activity that younger kids will love.
Share your sink or float outcomes with us on social at @primarydotcom with #yesprimary and #primarycolorcamp for a chance to be featured!
