Primary Color Camp: Grow Your Own Grass
Teach kids to care for a low maintenance plant, and beautify your home at the same time!
by Team Primary
We're staying true to our Primary colors in today's color camp activity, and focusing on grass during our green color week! Check out these easy steps to plant grass at home for a low maintenance, indoor project.
- Fill a jar or cup (or larger bin!) with soil (about half way up the side)
- Sprinkle grass seeds over the top. Alternatively, you can use a finger to make individual holes a few inches apart and sprinkle just a few seeds inside (the seeds are tiny).
- Cover with a little dirt.
- Water and give sunlight and watch the grass grow!
Grass needs a good amount of sunlight, so find a bright spot in your home for your new little garden to live. Take pictures on the same day every week so kids can see the progress!
Share your creations with us on social at @primarydotcom with #yesprimary and #primarycolorcamp for a chance to be featured!
