Day 23 of Magic: Not-So-Scary Stories
Let your imagination run wild.
Welcome to Day 23 of our Month of Magic from Primary!
Spooky Season is in full swing, and today, we want to channel all the feelings and experiences from this time of year from pen to paper with a creative writing activity! And yes, while traditional scary story starters always make for a good and spine-chilling time, we're challenging ourselves to dig a tiny bit deeper too — and think of times when we've felt scared but persevered, asked for help, and chose to be brave.
Take a look at the variety of prompts below to get your creative juices flowing. Pick one, set a timer for 20 minutes and have everyone share their story when they're done!
- I didn't believe in ghosts. Until this happened...
- It was a normal Friday night in when suddenly there was a knock at the door...
- I was on Zoom school when suddenly the screen went dark...
- I was scared when _______, but knew I had to be brave...
- I needed help with _____, but was nervous to ask...
And one more, just because:
- The year was 2020...
