Frog and Toad

For Frog:

• One green kids outfit
• Green felt (2 sheets 9 x 12 inches each)
• White felt (1 sheet 9 x 12 inches)
• Safety pins or double-sided fabric tape
• Hot glue gun and sticks
• Scissors

For Toad:

• One brown kids outfit
• Brown felt (2 sheets 9 x 12 inches each)
• White felt (1 sheet 9 x 12 inches)
• Black felt (2 sheets 9 x 12 inches each)
• Stuffing (polyfil, felt scraps, tissue, or newspaper)
• Safety pins or double-sided fabric tape
• Vest
• Hot glue gun and sticks
• Scissors

Frog

For the eyes:

• Cut 2 ovals from green felt. Glue the seams of the felt together, leaving the bottom open. Cut the bottom into a straight line, and then cut small 1/2" slits to create fringes at the bottom. Stuff the eye.
• Cut a circle out of green felt and glue your eye structure onto the felt circle, making sure that all of the polyfil is glued inside.
• Cut a small circle out of white felt. Cut eyelashes and irises out of black felt and glue together onto the eye structure.
• Secure the felt circle to the hoodie or top with double-sided fabric tape or safety pins.
• Repeat all steps for the other eye.

Toad

For the eyes:

• Cut 2 ovals from brown felt. Glue the seams of the felt together, leaving the bottom open. Cut the bottom into a straight line, and then cut small 1/2" slits to create fringes at the bottom. Stuff the eye.
• Cut a circle out of brown felt and glue your eye structure onto the felt circle, making sure that all of the polyfil is glued inside.
• Cut a small circle out of white felt. Cut eyelashes and irises out of black felt and glue together onto the eye structure.
• Secure the felt circle to the hoodie or top with double-sided fabric tape or safety pins.
• Repeat all steps for the other eye.

For the final touches:

• Use an existing vest or trace a vest or t-shirt without the sleeves, to make a vest from felt. Use glue to connect the seams.

Pro-Tips

• For a DIY baby Frog and Toad, use one green baby outfit and brown baby outfit.
