Instructions
Come fly away to the land of soft and never scratchy costumes with our Primary DIY Bird! Start with our super soft primary essentials and follow our instructions that barely require the lift of a feather. We mean finger. The best part? By the end of Halloween night, they'll climb right into their feathery coop, already dressed for bed!
For the wings:
- Cut a large half moon out of felt, then cut several multi-colored “feathers” and adhere them to the half moon (both sides) with hot glue or double-sided fabric tape in rows, working from the bottom up.
- Adhere two loops of felt to each end of the half moon for wrist straps.
- Secure the wings to the top with a couple of safety pins at the shoulders.
For the headpiece:
- Cut a triangle from a paper plate and attach it to a headband, then adhere rows of multicolored feathers (a smaller version than the wing feathers) cut from felt and secured with double-sided fabric tape or hot glue.
- Adhere a row of feathers along the edge of the headband to create a plume.
